Bardo
Music by Michele Deiana
Performed by Trio Concept
Commissioned by 63° International Chamber Music Festival of Cervo

Bardo is, in the Tibetan Buddhist tradition, a suspended space between death and rebirth.
More broadly, the term describes any moment of profound transition: the falls, the losses, the collapses of identity we experience throughout our lives, and from which we emerge transformed.
We are living through a moment of deep global transformation, in which what we have long taken for granted is changing radically: the beginning of a new era, in which what we lose teaches us the steps towards our next evolution.

You are attending the first performance of Bardo. Thanks for being here!
The piece is premiered by the Trio Concept: Edoardo Grieco (Violin), Francesco Massimino (Cello) and Lorenzo Nguyen (Piano).
